Having and giving

The only things you can truly own, are those you're able to give.
The things that you are not able to give, only imprison you.

You truly know something only when you're able to teach it. You
only know love when you can give it. You only know happiness
when you can bring it to others. You can only know abundance
when you provide value to the lives of others.

That's not to say that we must give away all we have, but rather that
it is the ability and willingness to give, which makes it ours in the first
place. Can you imagine anything more miserable than having
everything in the world, and no one to share it with?

Whatever you're holding back and hiding from the world -- your
skills, your thoughts, your passion, your knowledge, your enthusiasm,
your courage -- is holding you back. The riches you have, be they
material, intellectual or spiritual, are worthless unless you use them.

the Lord is My Shepherd

the Lord is My Shepherd

so I have need of nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside quiet waters,
giving me everything I need,
He restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness,
for I invite Him to be my Guide,
and He does this because of His love for me
for we are brothers,
sharing the same familly name,
Even though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for You are with me;
Your Spirit is my comforter
and You have replaced my fears with Your Love.
You prepare a festival for me
awaiting my return home,
even before I have learned to forgive all my enemies...
You anoint my head with oil,
having a purpose for me that I can not even comprehend,
my cup overflows,
for I have not yet learned how to
deal with all Your gifts
Surely Your goodness and Your love will fill me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell
in the house of the LORD
forever.

Defence is Attack

Notes to self,

Sore shoulders indicate the results of defensiveness

To be humble, one must see themselves as the other. In this sense, humbleness is to see into another's universe.

To attack another's belief system is to attack that person.

When he complains, it is a request for love. He feels unloved. Maybe the best way to deal with it is to change the subject. If i minimize it it can be a reason to find further proof for it...

To see myself as an english person, is not humility. "The great way is not difficult" if i let go of my body identity...

Prayer in our schools?

This seems to me to be such a dishonest thing to teach to our children.

Imagine, ask your children to pray to the Tooth Fairy. It's like asking them to believe in Santa Claus! Why not be completely honest with them?

Just because you grew up filled with guilt over the physical joys of sex, why would you want to submit your children to the same?

The game of relationships

We are always using relationships, because we need them to define what we are. Our friends help us know what we "like", what we don't like. We move closer directed by desire, we move apart directed by fear.

But the "Unity Principal" has no relationship, since it is One. It knows what it is.

It does not accept some and reject others. It does not move closer or further. Fear nor desire have no impact on it.

It plays no favourites.
