ONE ONE ONE
The lamps are different.
But the Light is the same.
So many garish lamps in the dying brain's lamp shop, Forget about them.
Concentrate on essence, concentrate on Light.
In lucid bliss, calmly smoking off its own hold fire, The Light streams
toward you from all things, All people, all possible permutations of good,
evil, thought, passion.
The lamps are different,
But the Light is the same.
One matter, one energy, one Light, one Light-mind, Endlessly emanating all things.
One turning and burning diamond,
One, one, one.
Ground yourself, strip yourself down,
To blind loving silence.
Stay there, until you see
You are gazing at the Light
With its own ageless eyes.
Rumi
These are personal notes and links regarding the dissolution of one's Self-Image --i.e. one's ego. The path is non-duality. Life itself has brought me here. These notes are reminders of my direction, and my lack of direction. They are to strengthen my focus on what ACIM calls "the real world" i.e. "that which does not change." While these notes are written for me, if you find them helpful, you may feel at home to read any of them.
We are sleeping
With us, one needs to be a waking sleeper,
that in the state of wakefulness,
you may dream dreams.
The thought of created things
is an enemy to this sweet waking sleep;
until your thought is asleep, your throat is shut,
no mysteries can enter.
Mystical bewilderment must sweep thought away;
bewilderment devours thought
and recollection of anything other than Love .
- Rumi

Thy Will be done
How to live on a Spiritual Path, yet in this world.
"Thy will be done on earth,
as it is in heaven"
This is a profound statement from Jesus.
It is not a request to a greater power, but
a statement of knowing that you are One with the Absolute.
God's will is absolute, as it applies to the All. Duality denies this and says "I know better." The idea that we are separate and that we exist in isolation from the Absolute --This idea (Ego) wants to have it's way --i.e. to follow it's will.
To realize that there is no other will but the Absolute's is freedom. Then you begin to see that the Ego's "freedom" was really slavery, and that you are not the Ego, as now you can watch it acting out in it's world.
The Holy Spirit's reinterpretations as described in ACIM help to re-learn a new way of interpreting one's experience, so that anything that happens points you back to the Absolute rather than to the Ego.

Give Up Ideas
111. Knowledge by the mind is not true knowledge.
112. The idea that you know what is true is dangerous, for it keeps you imprisoned in the mind.
It is when you do not know, that you are free to investigate.
113. Words can only give you the idea and the idea is not the experience.
114. It is earnestness that will take you through, not cleverness – your own or another's.
115. There is no reality in ideas.
116. As long as you have all sorts of ideas about yourself you know yourself through the mist of these ideas; to know yourself as you are,
The above Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj quotes are from the book
The Seven Steps to Awakening.

Who am I
The seeker is he who is in search of himself.
Give up all questions except this one: "Who am I ?"
After all the only fact you are sure of is that you are. The
"I Am" is certain. The "I am this" is not. Struggle to find out
who you are in reality.
To know who you are, you must first investigate who you are not.
Discover all that you are not --body, feelings, thoughts, time,
space, this or that --nothing concrete or abstract which you perceive
can be you. The very act of perceiving shows you that you are not
what you perceive.
The clearer you understand that on the level of mind you can be described
in negative terms only, the quicker you come to the end of your search and realize that ou are the limitless being.

accept it
accept it
accept this day, it's such a gift,
to see, to hear, to be
without a blemish in our heart,
we're all that we can be;
each moment is a mystery,
beyond the nag of mind,
so let the nag nag on in peace,
for we are One divine;
we are not thoughts that seem to come,
we're not what we had thought,
we're not at all what we have done
we're not what we would wrought;
just enter into your own heart,
and see reflected there,
my own and theirs'
we're but the same
and in God's sweetness care.

The Mystery
The mystery never leaves you alone.
Behind your image,
below your words,
above your thoughts,
the silence of another world waits.
A world lives within you.
No one else can bring you news of this inner world.
~ John O'Donohue

Happiness
Judge nothing, you will be happy.
Forgive everything, you will be happier.
Love everything, you will be happiest.
~Sri Chinmoy
Acceptance
To be beautiful means to be yourself.
You don’t need to be accepted by others.
You need to accept yourself.
~Thich Nhat Hanh
See Reality
101. To see reality
is as simple as to see one's face in a mirror.
Only the mirror must be clear and true.
A quiet mind,
undistorted by desires and fears,
free from ideas and opinions,
clear on all the levels,
is needed to reflect the reality.
102. Realize that no ideas are your own;
they all come to you from outside.
103. Reality is not a concept,
nor the manifestation of a concept.
It has nothing to do with concepts.
104. As the mind is made of words and images,
so is every reflection in the mind.
It covers up reality with verbalization
and then complains.

to go beyond, you must consent to silence.

Real vs UnReal
"All that you are attached to,
all that you love,
All that you know,
All that you know,
... someday will be gone.
Knowing this, and that the world is your mind
Which you create, play in, and suffer from,
Is known as discrimination.
Discriminate between the Real and the Unreal,
The known is unreal and will come and go
So stay with the Unknown, the Unchanging, the Truth.

talking
106. Be careful.
The moment you start talking
you create a verbal universe,
a universe of words, ideas,
concepts and abstractions,
interwoven and interdependent,
most wonderfully
generating, supporting and explaining each other
and yet all without essence or substance,
mere creations of the mind.
Words create words,
reality is silent.

More than enough
There is something perverse
about more than enough.
When we have more,
it is never enough.
It is always somewhere out there,
just out of reach. The more we acquire,
the more elusive enough becomes.
